I will combo any blade with any rubber but Highpoint, but I have so many different options with different prices on rubbers, sponges, and topsheets that really the only way to work a combo is for you to email me and we'll work out pricing. As a general rule the combo adds two rubbers and a case for $20, so below is a button that adds $20 to the order. Unfortunately, you still have to designate what rubbers, colors, thicknesses, hardnesses, penhold gap, and any other specs in an email. There are cases where you may want a combination that doesn't fall well into that $20 rule though (usually that means cheaper - pips with no sponge for example), so as per usual, feel free to email me for specific quotes.
| Combo Upcharge $20 | |
Price: $20.00 I wish had a system where you could select your rubbers in this combo upcharge button, or even a place for comments where you could write in the specs for your combo. Unfortunately my paypal shopping cart is just too limited and my rubber options too diverse, given that I allow different sponge/topsheet combinations as well. So the only thing I can do is ask you to email me the specs when you order the combo upcharge: cole_ely@hotmail.com By default, combo's come assembled with rubbers, case, tape, ready to play. | |
| Inspirit Quattro and Quattro UL Combo Upcharge | |

| Dawei Quattro Allaround Limba | |
Price: $22.00 * Combo price: $42.00 Lightweight blade between 78-84g. I can pick the weight you want, more or less. This All+ blade is actually a 7ply (inner plies all ayous) giving it stability in the short game but it's a thin 7ply, keeping the speed managable and the control up. This is a very common blade for people who are getting their first "real" blade and junking the premade. But it's a blade that is made from the same materials as, and it has the same feel as many of the $45 euro blades used by professionals. Flared or straight. |
| Dawei Quattro Allaround Hinoki | |
Price: $22.00 * Combo price: $42.00 I currently have two versions of this blade. The older version has a fairly small head and is very much allaround +. The newer version is thicker, faster (off-), and has a larger head. It is also heavier. We're talking 84 and 89g respectively. But the heavier one plays better I think, and now I have some excellent ultralight options to keep the weight down, or there's always pips. The quality is comparable to blades costing 30-45 dollars easilly. |
| Dawei Genote O | |
Price: $22.00 * Combo price: $42.00 The O is probably my favorite of the Genote line and the most unique. It is a very thin blade, but made faster and stiffer by the addition of two plies of red-stained, hardened ayous. From the side, this blade looks like a donic dicon. You can see a side pic at www.colestt.com/gpics.doc. The blade is off to off- with a nice feel and a very nice look. Cpen currently out of stock. |
| Galaxy LQ-1 - Modern Defensive | |
Price: $49.00 * Combo price: $69.00 Li Qian is a new sponsored player for Galaxy. As I understand it, she is a modern defensive player from China now playing for Poland. These are the two new "flagship" blades for Galaxy. The Lq-1 is a fairly fast blade for being defensive, but it has a defensive shape. What I noticed was that the length of the blade meant that it was extremely flexible and spinny if you loop or chop near the tip. The quality of crafstmanship and materials used in the LQ blades are second no other all wood blades I've ever seen. |
| Galaxy LQ-2 Defensive | |
Price: $45.00 * Combo price: $65.00 This blade is shaped like the LQ-1, but seems to be a touch slower with a lower pitch, making it seem a bit more like I would expect a defensive blade to feel. The handle is a thick cork. Flex to the max...well, not to the max, I've felt more, but it's flexy. |
| Galaxy M6 | |
Price: $25.00 * Combo price: $45.00 This blade has been labeled off to off+, but I think it's more like off to off-. Maybe because the feel and control are so great. This one rivals my w6. Thinner blade but two layers of red hardened ayous give it speed and stiffness beyond what you would expect given it's thin structure. Really a nice piece of work. Some have called it a clipper clone but I don't see it as being as fast as most of the clippers I've tried. I have a couple of these that are chipped on the edge during shipping. Email me if you want to make a reasonable offer. |
| Dawei Genote S (Hinoki/Thick Ayous) | |
Price: $22.00 * Combo price: $42.00 Dawei has used a top quality hinoki to form the outer plies, which makes it just a tad softer, as well as prettier, more collectible, and of course more expensive than limba our ayous outer plies. This blade is also about 6.5mm thick and weighs around 88g. I'd call it on the high side of offensive but not quite as fast as the C, or maybe it just feels that way because it's a tad softer on the outer plies. Closeups showing the near-perfect grains are available upon request. Straight, Flared, and Cpen |
| Hinoki One-Ply Blades Galaxy 982 Jpen - OUT OF STOCK | |
Price: $45 * Combo price: $65 Real one ply hinoki. Grains are pretty nice for this price. Maybe not quite as perfect as the $200 ones, but the play is extremely comperable. |
| Dawei Matrix | |
Price: $16.00 * Combo price: $35.00 Back by popular demand. The GenoteX just got lost in the shuffle in this price bracket. It looked like every other genote blade. So I decided to come back with the Matrix in this price bracket of $16. It differs from instinct and 896 in that is has limba outer plies, which is more commonly found in more expensive, euro and japanese branded blades. The speed is off- and the feel is very nice, but I think the handle sells this blade as much as anything! Out of stock in cpen. |
| Instinct and Instinct + | |
Price: $16.00 * Combo price: $35.00 Instinct (5-ply) Handle: FL Weight: ~74g Speed: between ALL+ and OFF- Instinct+ (7-ply) Handle: FL Weight: ~85g Speed: OFF Don't let the price fool you. These are among the best playing all wood blades I carry. The Instinct is a 5-ply ayous blade. It's very flexible and very spinny with still just enough smashing power to put the ball away when the opportunity arises. The Instinct+ is the 7-ply version of the same blade. Therefore it's a little heavier and faster. For a reasonably fast blade, it's still got awesome control for sure. I would recommend one of these two blades to virtually any player under 2000, and probably to most players over that depending on their style. |
| Toxic3 and Toxic5 | |
Price: $22.00 * Combo price: $40.00 Toxic3 (3-ply) Handle: ST Weight: ~74g +/- 3g Toxic5 (5-ply) Handle: ST Weight: ~84 +/- 2g This is Friendship's answer to the popular defensive "Hock" blades. They have that low tone that screams control. However, even the Toxic3 isn't as slow as some of the 3-ply Hocks I've tried. The 5-ply still has that low tone, although not quite as pronounced. However when you take a bigger cut that tone disappears and it feels more like a normal all-around blade. Both rackets have the distinctive Hock shape, with an exaggerated oversized head. This racket will most likely be covered on at least one side with some sort of pips-out rubber. Often long pips. The typical choppers forehand will be a sticky topsheet on a thin (<1.5), dead sponge. If the player wants to be able to loop with the forehand they will sometimes go to a sponge around 1.8 thickness. |
| Galaxy 896 | |
Price: $15.00 * Combo price: $35.00 Handle: FL, C-PEN Weight: ~85g Speed: Medium I used to refer to this blade as the "best looping blade I carry, but since I got the W6 I guess it's now the best under $40." It's built very similarly to the Instinct, containing 5 plies with ayous outer layers. If somebody tells me they like to stand a couple of steps back and loop the ball back with an emphasis on spin, this is what I recommend. Very flexible and springy, this blade has that "boing" effect when you step back and take a big cut, even though overall the blade's speed is correctly labeled "medium." I also carry this blade in penhold. I often sell it to Ma Lin/Wang Hao fans that want a blade that feels most like the Yasaka Extra. The flex and springiness of this blade makes the short game not quite as good as the Instinct. So it's a tradeoff making this a better choice than Instinct for people that prefer a control loop or flip to a push whenever possible. |

| Galaxy U2006 | |
Price: $35.00 * Combo price: $55.00 Handle: C-PEN, Shake (conic) Weight: 86g+/- 3g Speed: OFF- This is an extremely high quality blade in the model of stiga's cr wrb. Coated outer plies. Speed is pretty fast...I'd put it in a class with clipper. Quality on this blade, (like w6 and w1) is truly second to none. This is the best option I have for a fast all wood blade. I have a couple of these that are chipped on the edge during shipping. Email me if you want to make a reasonable offer. |
| Galaxy U2004 | |
Price: $25.00 * Combo price: $45.00 Handle: C-PEN, Shake (conic) Weight: 86g+/- 3g Speed: OFF Another blade clearly make like oc wrb (even stained walnut). This one is not as fast as 2006 with more flex and higher control. This one is more like the off classic in speed. |
| Galaxy W6 | |
Price: $32.00 * Combo price: $52.00 Handle: C-PEN, Shake (conic) Weight: 86g+/- 3g Speed: OFF- Some forum lists have pegged this blade as a sub for Yasaka Extra, making it especially popular in penhold. I've never tried YE, but I always hear it's slow. This one isn't that slow to me. I'd call it on the up side of OFF-. Different wood grain from the others. More like you'd see in some of the upper level Butterfly or Yasaka blades. Not ayous. This is the blade I'm currently using. It's very important that you treat this one heavy along the outside edge. Mine chipped really badly until I did. Of course, I do that for you before I send it out. 5-ply Wood. Now that I'm buying direct from Galaxy I can lower my price on this one from 40 to 32!! I have a drawer full of blades, many over $100 retail, and this is the blade I use. |
| Dawei "Premade Buster" blades | |
Price: $10.00 * Combo price: $20-30.00 Handle: ST Weight: 90g +/- 5g Speed: Medium This is pretty much an exclusive to Colestt.com. I don't know anyone else who is selling this quality of all ayous blade for $10, much less offering it as part of a custom combo for $20. I have three versions of premade buster blade, one control and light, one medium, and one fast. I can even customize the setup a bit to fit the customer. Try to find that anywhere else for $20! If you want a premade buster combo, simply select the blade and two sheets of 2008xp rubbers. If you want to talk to me about customizing it, send me an email first. You may NOT get the regular combo discount with the $10 blades. In some instances, it would actually be cheaper to take the free blade. Sorry. I do also keep a few premades around. I have a few dragon premades from friendship that are very slow and light but not too tacky. Perfect for kids, total beginners. Then I have a variety of galaxy premades varying from all wood with 9000 rubber to an arylate blade with venus. Email me for specifics. To be honest though, even the nicest of them don't feel as good as the premade busters that are custom made. Not even close. |
